Mallard Cottage Delightful Lakes Cottage enhanced with great Leisure & Hospitality Facilities

Mallard Cottage is situated in the foothills of Blencathra Fell and situated in Whitbarrow Holiday Village. The village was originally converted from an 18th century Cumbrian farm, and has everything to entertain the whole family throughout your stay. The outstanding leisure centre features a friendly bar and excellent restaurant. There is a good sized indoor heated swimming pool, children’s splash pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room, gym and pool table. Within the grounds there are crazy golf and pitch & putt facilities, children’s play areas, laundry room and a duck pond. Mallard cottage is on the edge of the little village of Greystoke and in a very quiet location, but handy for all these amenities.

Ullswater is a 15-minute drive away, as are Keswick, Penrith and many fells and lakes. The complex is very central for both the Lake District, Eden Valley and North Yorkshire National Park.

The very stylish and modern cottage comprises of accommodation of an upside-down layout. Upstairs comprises of the living area, kitchen/dining area and lounge, with small external balcony.

The kitchen comprises of an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and microwave including all cooking utensils, crockery and glasses etc. Tea-towels, dishwasher tablets, dish clothes etc are provided.

The lounge has a large 65-inch TV mounted to the wall and a Blu-ray DVD player. WiFi is available free of charge in the cottage and throughout the complex. 

Downstairs, there is a double bedroom with en-suite (walk in shower), a twin bedroom, a small bunk bedroom and a family bathroom (bath & shower). All bed linen and towels are included.

Within the cottage store cupboard in the hallway, there is a travel-cot, foldaway high-chair and a hoover for when required. . 

This is a non-smoking cottage and we ask all guests to fully respect this when staying.
